Our focus is not on installing security systems and physical barriers… but about building the skill sets of men and women committed to strengthening the level of deterrence surrounding your church.

Development
The Founding Leadership of Hedge Protection Ministries are first and foremost followers of Christ. With a combined 44 years of Law Enforcement experience, Hedge’s developmental team created and implemented this very program in their own church. Having done that, they fully understand the pressure and frustration that can come with implementing this type of program given the limited information, experience, and training available to churches today.
Steve Visser
Steve has worked as a Police Officer and K-9 handler/trainer while serving nearly nine years in the United States Air Force. He has worked extensively with the NYPD, DEA, State Police from Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania as well as the US Secret Service and the US State Department. He has provided explosive detection dog support for President Ronald Regan, President George H. W. Bush, Secretary of State George P. Shultz, Secretary of Defense Caspar W. Weinberger and several other foreign dignitaries.
After serving his country, his entrepreneurial side drew him toward a career in business. He has developed a variety of small businesses involving Construction, Real Estate and Internet Marketing. Steve came to know the Lord at the age of 37 and has since devoted his life to serving Christ.
He has served in youth ministry, as a Sunday School teacher and in multiple leadership positions in his own church. He answered the call to ministry in 2015 with the effort to create Hedge Protection Ministries.
He is a loving father and grandfather. His passion is missions, writing, and teaching. He is an avid Michigan State fan and claims he is most relaxed when fishing or playing golf.
